Our daily yoga will be a heart opening and centered
practice
combining asana and meditation, active dynamic and
gentle slow rhythmic movements. Using the breath to
access the vital life force, Prana, and as a vehicle
to integrate our physical emotional and spirit
bodies. This uplifting and invigorating practice
will allow us to strengthen the core, open our
hearts, and commune with our highest potential. The
yoga practice will be tailored to suit all levels

Volcanoes National Park and Lava Trek
We will be adventuring to Kilauea, one of the
world's most active volcanoes where we will be
witnessing live volcanic flows. Halemaumau Crater is
the home to the Hawaiian fire goddess Pele, which is
where she expands the island daily. With a sacred
ceremonial tribute to the transformative nature of
Pele, we will be creating personal offerings to
present to the powerful Fire Goddess.
Tide Pools Snorkeling
Swim along Kapoho shores, a protected
natural marine reserve, and discover amazing oceanic
flora and fauna. Also called "coral gardens", Kapoho
is the home of three different coralloid types:
blue, yellow and white, where tropical Hawaiian reef
fish abound (yellow tang, needle fish, lemon
butterfly and many more).

Various Massage and Energy Treatments with Local

Bodywork is a healthful way to indulge yourself
at Kalani. We feel blessed to be able to offer a
variety of massage, both therapeutic and classical,
and aquatic bodywork in an inspiring environment.
The practitioner uses different types of European
strokes for a relaxing body/mind effect. The
intensity of the massage—from light to medium to
deep tissue—depends on your preference and needs.
All strokes are beneficial to the nerves, blood
vessels, lymph and connective tissue—and your
spirit.
Hawaiian Lomi Lomi:
Lomi Lomi aligns your body, mind and spirit.
According to ancient Hawaiian healing traditions,
pule (prayer) and ho'oponopono (forgiveness)
accompany the bodywork for a truly holistic
treatment. Lomilomi's long, rhythmic, integrating
strokes soothe your muscles, tendons and soft tissue
to increase circulation, while hot basaltic rocks
and warm salt water enhance and nurture your energy.
Thai Massage:
Thai massage is a form of bodywork practiced in
Thailand for over 2500 years. It works on pressure
points and energy lines as it gently but thoroughly
stretches the entire body. It helps to maintain
health, vitality and flexibility, as it balances the
body's centers and moves you in yoga-like positions.
Aquatic Bodywork:
Aquatic bodywork is performed in our skin-soothing
warm water pool. Sessions consist of a series of
stretches, rotations and compressions interlaced
with periods of deep stillness.
Waterdance:
During Waterdance (originally known as Wassertanzen)
the practitioner gradually and gently takes you
entirely underwater (with a nose clip). Free from
gravity, you are moved and stretched, creating a
sensation of timelessness and suspension.
Watsu®: Watsu
(an abbreviation for water-shiatsu) is aquatic
bodywork that combines passive movement with gentle
shiatsu massage. Abandon yourself to be cradled,
swirled, and relaxed as the practitioner gently
supports you and takes you through a series of
insightful movements and stretches.
Other therapies available include: aromatherapy,
craniosacral, foot reflexology, oil-less massage,
sports massage, polarity, reiki, and shiatsu. Full

Transportation
Make
your arrangements to fly into the HILO
airport rather than the Kona airport. We
recommend you connect with our travel agent Dusti at
800.342.4114 or dustitravel@comcast.net to book the
perfect arrival and departure arrangements for the
big island. It is the peak travel time and the
holiday season so we highly suggest you make your
travel reservations early. Due to flight arrival
times we suggest you travel on December 27th and
stay over in Hilo, Hawaii.
We have a group rate reserved at the Hilo Seaside
hotel nearby the Hilo airport for December 27th and
will be happy to pick you up at noon on December
28th from the Hotel. Kalani is a 45 minute drive
from the airport in Hilo, or a 2.5 hour drive from
the airport in Kona. We do provide shuttle service
on December 28th and return service to the Hilo
airport on January 4th. We also provide van
transportation to all island excursions. If you wish
to have your own rental car or need additional
overnight accommodations, Dusti can assist you with
that reservation.
