March 22nd, 2007
Departure from home country to Lima, Peru. You are
responsible for the cost and booking of your own flight
arrangements. We recommend you call Dusti our travel
agent at 800.342.4114 for excellent group rates and
specific departure and arrival times. Depending on the
arrival time of your flight, you may need to stay
overnight in Lima. Separate arrangements will be made
for this—not included in the retreat package. If you
choose a redeye flight this evening then you will arrive
Friday morning and will not require overnight
accommodations in Lima.
Friday, March 23rd, 2007
Fly from Lima, Peru to Cusco, Peru around 9:30am.
Contact Dusti for our group rates for this in-country

in the Sacred Valley, stop in Cusco for lunch at
Mandela's. Then relax and enjoy a one and a-half hour
scenic drive through the mountains to our Willka T’ika
home-base. Willka T’ika was built especially for Magical
Journey spiritual groups to enjoy the splendor of the
Andes. Late afternoon orientation at Willka T'ika
followed by welcome feast and introduction to our

Saturday, March 24th, 2007
 Special
day with authentic Andean ceremony. Morning
yoga/meditation with Isa followed by raw buffet
breakfast. After breakfast enjoy the group orientation
tour of the seven sacred gardens at Willka T'ika.
Incorporating Andean symbols, these magnificent flower
and herbal gardens bring wholeness to our being and have
been built with love and guidance from nature. Group
attunement and meditation to connect us with Pachamama
and further enhance our connection to the energies of
the Sacred Valley. Our guestsare encouraged to spend
time and meditate in the splendors of nature during
their stay at Willka T’ika and during visits to nearby
ancient sites.
After lunch in the gardens, the guide or
a staff member offers to take the energetic on a hike in
the countryside. Optional hike into the town of Urubamba
to visit the local outdoor market. Some may wish to use
the time to rest, paint and write in their journals.
This is the best time to schedule an optional service
such as massage or coco-leaf reading. In the late
afternoon, an authentic healer invites the entire group
to participate in a special Andean offering ceremony to Pachamama for the well-being of the group. All local
Quechua practice this healing ceremony and it guides you
deeper into their traditions and spiritual world. To
conclude the ceremony the group gathers with the healer
for a fire ceremony, which also prepares mind, body and
spirit for your upcoming pilgrimage to Machu Picchu.
Sunday, March 25th, 2007
After yoga and breakfast, drive through the Sacred
Valley to welcome the sparkling energies of the day at
the spectacular ruins of P'isaq. Overlooking impressive
Inkan terraces, hike the trail to the Inkan Temple of
the Sun, a doorway to the upper Andean world of the
Condor, messenger of the Gods. Optional meditation.
Optional hike down the mountain to the colorful market
of P'isaq or choose to return by bus. Be prepared—this
market offers a wonderful opportunity to buy woven
goods, wall hangings and hand-painted beadwork, as well
as wonderful photographic opportunities. Observe the
colorful traditionally dressed campesinos coming to
barter and sell their produce. We will recommend some
delicious options for an inexpensive al fresco lunch,
where you can watch the lively activities of the market.
Return to Willka T'ika in the afternoon with time to
relax or practice yoga before dinner.
Monday, March 26th, 2007

After yoga and breakfast and we visit the
Ollantaytambo Ruins with its wonderful stonework and sun
temple. Weather permitting, we follow with a very
special visit to an Andean mountain school. For fifteen
years Magical Journey has maintained contact with
dedicated school teachers and traditionally-dressed
pupils in isolated mountain communities, in areas that
few tourists are privileged to visit. Unwind at Willka
Tika this afternoon, followed by dinner and an
informative lecture by David this evening.
Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

After morning yoga and breakfast, prepare for
another stunning hike in the Sacred Valley backcountry.
Our guide is familiar with incredible local hikes to
waterfalls, high glacial lakes and traditional villages
far away from the activities of the valley. This evening
may be a good time to schedule a private massage,
transformation empowerment session or a hot solar bath
filled with medicinal flowers and herbs and salts from
the farms. Evening discussion on preparation for Machu
Picchu followed by dinner.
Wednesday, March 28th, 2007

Morning train to Aguas Calientes, the lively village
situated below the nearby Machu Picchu Ruins. Early
morning ascent by bus to the sunlit terraces of the
historical Inkan center of spiritual and political
power. In the morning you enter Machu Picchu as tourists
and follow our special guide on a tour of the "Lost City
of the Inka."
Thereafter there is time to return in the
afternoon to explore the feminine and masculine energy
sites on your own. You will have overnight
accommodations in town near Machu Picchu and on your own
for dinner this evening.
Thursday, March 29th, 2007

terraces and temples of Machu Picchu, Ancient City of
Light. The energetic may climb to Waynapicchu, Young

train back to Ollantaytampu with transfer to Willka
T'ika in time for dinner.
Friday, March 30th, 2007
A day of mindfulness and integration starting with
morning yoga and meditation. Guests welcome time to
regroup and unwind after their energetic visit to Machu
Picchu. Massages and crystal bed healing are available
to pamper the body. Some may wish to take an optional
journey to the circles of Moray, or perhaps hike up the
valley to the Maras Inkan Salt Farms. The views from
there are unlike anything you have ever seen. Others may
wish to hike into the village of Urubamba and visit the
local ceramic studio where beautiful art is handcrafted
or check out top-quality alpaca sweaters in a nearby
shop. This last evening at Willka Tika enjoy a festive
dinner with special closing ceremony.
Saturday, March 31st, 2007
This concludes our stay at Willka T’ika as we pack
up and depart in the morning for Cusco. Guided visit to
the very special sacred site at of Saksaywaman,
overlooking the city of Cusco. Impressive stonework and
structures weighing hundreds of tons will leave you in
awe. How did the ancestors of the Quechua and Inkans
build those structures without the use of the wheel and
steel implements? Return to Cusco for lunch on your own
and free time to explore the city and visit some of the
silver shops on the main square. Check into your hotel
(where your luggage will await you).
Free time to walk
through the cobblestone streets to the San Blas Artists'
district, a quaint area filled with artisan and art
shops, lively restaurants and coffee shops. Some may
wish to visit the Korikancha, the ancient center of the
Inkan Empire. Our last nite together we will gather at
Mandela’s a local restaurant in Cusco owned by a dear
friend that will create a bountiful raw feast with live
music and dancing for our joyous pleasure.
Sunday, April 1st, 2007
Morning group shuttle service to Cusco airport to
catch flight to Lima airport. A light continental
breakfast is served. You will be on your own for
lunch—overseas flights out of Lima tend to leave in the
evening and Lima is not an easy city to negotiate. An
optional Lima city tour is available to the whole group.
The tour allows for a stop in the colorful parks of the
cosmopolitan suburb of Miraflores for lunch before
visiting the Gold or Archeological Museums. After dinner
in the city, there will be transfers back to the airport
in time to check in for the evening flight home.
Depending on the size of the group and the time spent in
Lima, there will be an additional cost of approximately
$75 per person for the Lima day tour. Lunch and dinner
meals are at your expense this day.
The order within this itinerary may vary slightly to
suit the needs of the group or if circumstances warrant
change. Weather in the Andes is unpredictable and may
cause delays or cancellation of flights or activities.
We also select days to visit sites when fewer tourists
are likely to be there. As we see fit we may add other
local activities or ceremonies as time permits.
