Sam is everything you want in an expert yoga instructor: smart, calm, caring, instinctive, and welcoming. As someone who had rarely taken a yoga class before meeting her, I’ve now made it a priority to see her at least once a week because her classes are a safe space that challenge you as much as they relax you--stretching your mind, body, and soul in the most nourishing way possible.
One of my favorite traits about Sam is how she’ll always ask you before the class where you’re feeling sore/tension. And adapt the routine to where you and the rest of the students need it the most that particular day/night. Flexible in body is one thing, but to be flexible in attitude and thought is just as crucial to be a great yoga instructor IMO and Sam hits that pose effortlessly.
From her warm embrace the first time you meet her, to savasana at the end of a rich yoga session, you’ll not only gain an appreciation for a wonderful yoga instructor, but a great friend as well. Highly recommend Sam!
